You have seen that you need to know the Bible. Now is the time to take action.
The first step is to determine how well you wish to know a particular verse or passage:
- paraphrase
- word-perfect (if so, also which Bible translation)
You also need to determine how well you wish to know the reference:
- where in the Bible is not that important to you
- what book it is in is good enough
- you want to know what book and chapter it is in
- you want the book, chapter, and verse(s)
I personally am content with paraphrases; however, I like to know the book, chapter, and verse(s). However, you may have a different preference.
You also need to study the Bible. Don't count on Google or a concordance to do your dirty work for you. I normally recommend reading the Bible for 15 minutes a day. Although an hour a day would be better, normally that lasts about two or three days.
Bible knowledge is not instant. However, Rome wasn't built in a day, either.
